andrea pejrolo Ph.D.

I am a contemporary composer, music producer and bass player based in Boston.

I specialize in scoring for theater, visuals (Film, animation, TV), sound design and MIDI programming.

My activity as acoustic and electric bassist include performances with my acoustic ensemble and other contemporary ensembles.

I am the author of books, articles and essays on the subject of music technology, production and Jazz.

Currently I am the Chair of the Contemporary Writing & Production Department  at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

I am finishing the companion videos for the new upcoing Book on sound design an dporduction for Oxford University Press "Creating Sounds from Scratch" . The book is a joint effort with my dear friend and collegaue Scott Metcalfe from Peabody Conservatory.

The new edition of my book "Acoustic and MIDI Orchestration for the  Contemporary Composer" is finished and it is now in the hands of the editors! Publication date is set for August.


Just finished working on the music for a new short entitled "Telefonate a Simone" for Kukajo Productions.

Finished writing the Promo for Kukajo Productions.

I will be also playing at Ryles Jazz Club in Cambridge on August 16 with the Blues Band Bees Deluxe.

Great concert at Dave Friends Recital Hall last week with the porject "Scanzonati", a fantastic inizitaive created with singer and copmoser Stefano Marchese!

My article on Remote Collaboration has been published by the prestigious magazine Sound on Sound as the cover story for the March edition!
